Teacher of Science (Maternity Cover) SMS-SCIENCE-0925
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher of science to join our dynamic and highly successful school.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop a strong understanding of the journey from KS2 to KS3 and beyond, working alongside experienced primary, middle and secondary teachers. You will be joining our friendly and forward-thinking school at a very exciting time; a school that genuinely values the well-being of all and one that is committed to supporting your ongoing professional development. If you are looking for a change, wanting to rediscover the joy of teaching, or hone your skills in a highly supportive and developmental environment, then this is the role for you. Don’t believe us, please come and visit and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
Scissett Middle School is a thriving, over-subscribed and truly unique school which caters for pupils between the ages of 10 and 13. We work in strong partnership with Kirkburton Middle School so staff and pupils benefit from the resources of a large school and the personal touch of a small school. Teachers in both of our schools can really teach as pupils have outstanding behaviours, matched with a zest for learning. We encourage our staff to take risks and enjoy their teaching as we believe this leads to strong relationships and exceptional progress.
The school’s systems and high expectations for behaviour mean that pupils’ conduct is excellent in lessons and during social times. As a result, the school is calm and orderly, and this allows pupils to concentrate on their learning.
Staff are proud to work at the school. Leaders are considerate of staff’s workload and well-being.
