We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and highly successful school.

Scissett Middle School is a thriving, over-subscribed and truly unique school which caters for pupils between the ages of 10 and 13. We work in strong partnership with Kirkburton Middle School so staff and pupils benefit from the resources of a large school and the personal touch of a small school. Teachers in both of our schools can really enjoy their work as pupils have outstanding behaviours, matched with a zest for learning. We encourage our staff to take risks and enjoy their teaching as we believe this leads to strong relationships and exceptional progress.

‘The school’s systems and high expectations for behaviour mean that pupils’ conduct is excellent in lessons and during social times. As a result, the school is calm and orderly, and this allows pupils to concentrate on their learning.’

‘Staff are proud to work at the school. Leaders are considerate of staff’s workload and well-being.’
