Shelley First School is a super, highly regarded school and you would be joining a warm and welcoming school community where staff, parents and children all work together to strive for the very best. The successful applicant will enjoy a role at the very heart of school, managing the school office and supporting the smooth and efficient operation of day-to-day school life. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has previous office administration experience and is an excellent communicator and team player. School experience is desirable but a love of children non-negotiable!   

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently including providing a ‘front of house’ service to all visitors to the school office as well as providing general administrative support.  The role is five days a week 8.30 – 3.45 term time only. 

This is a role that requires excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and remain confident under pressure. A problem-solving attitude to work is essential. You will need a positive attitude towards team working, have excellent interpersonal skills and be proficient in using Microsoft Office, ideally with Arbor experience too!

You will: 

· Have good organisational and IT skills 

· A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel in particular) 

· Experience ideally of working with management information systems such as Arbor or Integris and Parent Pay 

· Good written and oral skills 

· Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information and respond positively to the demands of a varied workload. 

· Be approachable, flexible and have a sense of humour
